At Community Animal Hospital, our staff is united by one purpose — providing exceptional veterinary care rooted in compassion, experience, and trust. Each member of our staff brings a unique blend of professional expertise and genuine love for animals. We are proud to serve Cleveland and the surrounding Tennessee communities with a team that treats every pet like family.
After earning his undergraduate degree from Western Kentucky University, Dr. Lane attended Auburn University’s School of Veterinary Medicine, where he graduated with his Doctorate in 1984. His professional career began in private practice, and in 1991, he and his family made Cleveland their home. Two years later, he purchased a local clinic and, after steady growth, opened the doors to Community Animal Hospital in 1997.
Today, Dr. Lane continues to lead the practice with decades of veterinary experience and a deep sense of care for every animal that comes through the door. Outside of work, he enjoys gardening and caring for his own rescue animals, including a one-legged chicken, a one-eyed donkey, and a three-and-a-half-legged Angus cow. Dr. Lane and his wife, Kathy, are proud parents to three children and two grandchildren who share their love for animals.
